Short Bio

Dr. Serafeim Chatzopoulos is a research associate at the Information Management Systems Institute (IMSI) of the ATHENA Research Center (since June 2014) as a member of the Scientific Knowledge management Lab (SKnow-Lab). Since April 2022, he is also a software engineer at OpenAIRE AMKE, working on large-scale aggregation and indexing workflows for the OpenAIRE Graph. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of the Peloponnese in 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Christos Tryfonopoulos, while his work lies in the areas of data mining, graph databases, scientometrics and data management. He has extensive experience in EU and national research projects, while he has authored more than 25 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
