The opening ceremony for the new Postgraduate Program titled “MSc in Data Science” took place οn Monday October 2nd in the Library of NCSR "Demokritos". The two-year long program which runs in English is the result of collaboration between the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of NCSR "Demokritos" and the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of the Peloponnese.
The program which is held in the afternoons at NCSR "Demokritos" premises is attended by 25 selected graduates, from various specialties, most of them professionals who are interested in widening their professional prospects. The ceremony was opened by the Director of NCSR "Demokritos" and Chairman of the Board of Directors G. Nounesis and the Rector of the University of the Peloponnese K. Maselos, whilst all the teachers and students of the program were present.
The Director of the MSc in Data Science program and Head of Education of the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications of NCSR "Demokritos", Dr. Vangelis Karkaletsis welcomed the new students by saying: "We are very excited for this new beginning as well as our collaboration with the University of the Peloponnese. This particular subject is in great demand on the labour market in Greece as well as abroad and we are sure our students will broaden their horizons for the coming years".
