Anastasios Nentidis

Short Bio

Anastasios Nentidis is an Associate Researcher in the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications at NCSR Demokritos. Since 2015, he has been involved in organising the BioASQ competition, a series of international challenges on large-scale biomedical semantic indexing and question answering, and other research projects in biomedical literature analysis, biomedical knowledge integration, and knowledge graphs. He holds a Ph.D. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Informatics, where he completed his thesis on the topic of Machine learning techniques for fine-grained semantic indexing of biomedical literature in 2024. He also holds an MSc in Bioinformatics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Faculty of Biology, since 2014, and a BSc in Informatics from Athens University of Economics and Business since 2010.
