Short BioDr Anastasia Krithara is a research associate in NCSR “Demokritos” since October 2008, where she is involved in national and international projects (e.g. FP6-IST BOEMIE, FP7-ICT SYNC3, FP7-ICT BioASQ, FP7-ict REVEAL, CLARIN-EL). Before, she was a research engineer in Xerox Research Centre Europe, in Grenoble, France, where she carried out research in the area of machine learning and more precisely in semi-supervised and active learning for text classification tasks. She holds a BSc in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), an MSc in Machine Learning and Data Mining from University of Bristol and a PhD in Machine Learning from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI). Her research interests include Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, and Knowledge Engineering. She is the co-author of several publications in artificial intelligence journals and conferences. She is a member of the Greek Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN). She co-organised the International Research Centered Summer School (IRSS-2013). |
